Winningways Farms was establised west of Westminster, Maryland, with the purchase of one horse; a
mare owned by a famous horse trainer, Milton Abbot, who passed away in 1986. In his will he stipiulated
that his most prized mare, Hail and Wind, never be sold. In 1988 the groom died and Mrs. Abbot had no
choice but to sell Hail and Wind. She chose me to purchase and all the bloodlines on Winnningways Farms
originate from that one mare. She died in 2003 but her foals have continued to produce animals of
famous bloodlines, excellent conformation, strong bones, and all are strong runners with a propensity to
win. There are now 24 horses on the farm ranging from yearlings to four year olds. Some are working as
hunter/jumpers, others dressage, and other are on the tracks. If you are interesed in seeing our horses
